What is Flock?

Flock cameras are advanced Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) set up across the country by a private company called Flock. These AI-powered devices help local law enforcement solve crimes by tracking vehicle details with over 130,000 cameras across the nation as of September 2026. However, their rapid expansion has also triggered intense community debates regarding privacy and civil liberties.

Why Should I care?

Your personal whereabouts are actively being monitored by a private corporation that you did not agree to. Enough said.
